Two Peas in a Pod

No, this post is not about my twins. It is about my husband and four year old son who share a love for gardening and yard work. Tim runs to get his shoes on the minute his Dad steps into the back yard. Tim digs holes, holds tools, plants seeds, and steadies saplings, waters plants. . . I love to watch him follow in his fathers footsteps, and to watch his dad patiently teaching him about plants and letting him help even if it slows him down a little.

One of Tim's favorite spots in the yard is the strawberry patch. He has learned that the white blossoms turn into berries and how to recognize the ripe strawberries and which ones to leave to ripen one more day. Here they are picking berries for our dinner last night.

That's so cute that your son likes to help out so much in the yard.

(ok, I am SO jealous of your cereal and real milk. Drooling here!)

Your blog reminded me of me and my Grandmother in her back yard. That is such a special time and will always be remembered by your son and husband!
